The Town of Lynn Lake invites applications for the position of Mechanic/Operator Trainee. The applicant is charged with duties including hands-on work under the direction and supervision of the Equipment/Mechanic Operator. Knowledge of public works, water and sewer, road work, electrical, as well as building and property will be developed as appropriate.
The Town of Lynn Lake is seeking a candidate who is self-motivated and accountable.
The candidate must have completed, or be willing to take, the required courses to obtain certification (including but not limited to):
• Manitoba Driver’s License
• Grade 12 or GED 12
• Radio License
• Equipment Operator Certification
• Municipal equipment
The Town of Lynn Lake is offering a comprehensive benefits package and wages as per stipulated in the union contract. $23.21 per hour **COLA will be rolled into wage upon release from Stats Canada.
